What is Slow Food?
Slow Food is an idea, a way of living and a way of eating. It is part of a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members in over 150 countries. It links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.
About Our Local Chapter
Slow Food Rio Vista is our local chapter of the Slow Food USA national movement. Organized by volunteer leaders, local chapters carry out the Slow Food mission in their communities. Chapters offer educational events and activities to promote sustainability and biodiversity and connect farmers, cooks, educators, students and everyone else who cares about their food and the environment.
Yearly Slow Food Festival
Rio Vista Slow Food’s signature Slow Food Festival features farm fresh food, wine, entertainment, and more. This year it will be held on September 2, 2017.
